I should really be out at Record Store Day today, but owing to my incredible friend Brother Tom, I've been able to stay in bed and avoid the queues and High Fidelity anxiety, while still getting my Nada Surf 7". Was praying for Bad Brains too, but understandably, that seems to be have gone from everywhere!!
As per usual on a Sunday morning, while trying to perfect the Sunday morning playlist, I enter a music blog rabbit hole listening to weird remixes, covers and judging what will suit the aforementioned Sunday morning playlist requirements. You could say I'm the Simon Cowell of the blogging world.
Anyway, a million hours later, I've made some alterations and additons to the playlist, and it's not even morning anymore. Bummer. Anyway, kicking off this week is a band who I was WAY TOO LATE to get on. Actually, Brother Tom tried to convince me to see them last year at Cargo, but for some reason I declined and went home. Error. Brother Tom always has my back, I should have known. After finally checking out the album a few weeks ago, I get the hype. The song I'm going to post made me feel like I did the first time I heard Bros by Panda Bear. The best.
